The French Tennis Magazine is doing a vote on the best tennis picture of the year. I don’t know if those are the best pictures of the year, but interesting nonetheless. Go check it out. There is quite a fee pics of Roger, but I didn’t find any of them particularly striking. So I ended up voting for the one that depicts the biggest upset in recent tennis history. That was definitely the match that caused the biggest surprise this year by far. Rafa fans all over the world found themselves in a state of utter shock and denial. Soderling got only one game against Rafa earlier in the clay court season, losing 6-1, 6-0. Not one single person realistically expected Soderling to win that match. Therefor my vote had to go for that picture. Here it is:
Here are Roger’s pics:
This is the picture with the most votes so far. I didn’t vote for it just because Roger is not actually looking happy. This is probably my second choice though.
This is another good picture with Roger doing his own version of the Sampras slam dunk smash.
I liked this one as well. Roger looking focused on the brink of a crucial win in his career.
Roger entering centre court at the All England Club before yet another historic win. What a moment!
The worst of Roger’s pictures for me, although it was a nice gesture from Rafa. It was a nice moment, and it’s a shame people made such a big deal of Roger’s tears. This picture has the second most votes, and some people at Roger’s website are suggesting that we should vote for Roger’s French Open picture so that this one does not win. I don’t care what people think really, so I just voted for the picture that I thought was the most interesting. Let me know who you voted for, unless you voted for Serena
