Stockholm Rd 2: Roger Federer Puts a Dent in Taylor to Win 900th Match 6-1, 6-2

Unfortunately they’re not showing this on my TV and the stream was so bad that I didn’t watch it. But this is a milestone win nonetheless. Roger has now played 900 matches on the ATP Tour which includes 726 wins, 173 losses, and 0 retirements. Pretty damn impressive if you ask me! That is an 80,67 % winning percentage and a 0% retirement rate! Incredible to be exact. I don’t think there is any player in history who has ever reached 900 matches and never retired. It is a testament to his fair play and smart scheduling. Roger was asked if he will make 1000 matches and he said the chances are very good. He is now fifth on the list of the highest winning percentage by a male player which you can check out here. He also appears three times on the list for the most dominant season in a calender year which you can read more about here.

This underscores the fact that Roger was the most dominant player in history. As for today’s match, I’m happy to see that Roger made such quick work of Dent. It looks like he is still riding on a wave of confidence which is what I was hoping for. He will now play against his good mate Wawrinka, who had a tough time in overcoming Haase, 7-5, 6-7(6), 6-4. There has been people calling for an upset, but you would have to love Roger’s chances to make the head-to-head with Wawrinka 6-1.

Check out the post I made earlier today called Fedporn Thursday if you missed it.

LOL! LOL! You are SO funny, Ines! I used to despise Andy but since he cried at AO, I’ve developed a soft spot for him. Can imagine his “non-slam” demons attacking him day and night. Poor guy! Hope he wins a slam, BUT NOT at expense of our darling Roger!
