Federer Clears Up Facebook Confusion

In the above link you will find a video from Roger authenticating his Facebook account and making some other comments. I thought it was his account I just wasn’t sure if he was the one writing the updates, which of course now we know he is. Roger has always communicated very well with his fans and he is not the kind of guy that would make someone write his comments. Roger is a very real person and that is just not his style. Nice to see he got a haircut and gotta love the jacket. Nike sure are taking care of him well. He also looks very relaxed and happy, which is to be expected with his new found form and it’s good to see. I left Roger a comment saying I have a blog about him but I didn’t leave my link, thought it might look like spam. Maybe I will some time. What do you think?

Back to the tennis and Roger is playing his first match tomorrow against Alberto Martin who is a bit of a clay court specialist. Roger have actually played against him once before in the second round of Monte Carlo in 2006, his best ever season. On that day he annihilated Martin 6-0, 6-1. I don’t expect much to change tomorrow. The scoreline might not read 6-0, 6-1, 6-0 but I’m sure it will be straight sets. We’ll just see how right one of the so called tennis experts were when he said Roger will be tested by Martin. I hope Roger really shuts the mouths of these so called experts this time. That’s the nice thing about having critics, you always have the opportunity to shut their mouths. Roger will be looking to get his French Open 2009 campaign off to a positive start tomorrow with convincing win. Good luck Rog!

  1. Amazing, ‘experts’ predict tough first round. I hope Federer proves them wrong by a good win. Go Roger!

  2. I really can´t take the commentators seriously,I read bad comments in the ATP…that´s why we need to give Roger support and energy. Now you are faithful, nice comments.I really would love he to win this tittle to silence all those annoying critics for a while.
I´m going to tell you that your blog was mentioned in some posts in Roger´s page, there I pick up your blog, sure Roger knows all about.

You are right i should always give Roger positive energy. I just knew in the past that Roger could do so much better and i hated seeing him losing to his main rivals the way he has. But as you can see i am now very positive, more so then probably any tennis writer.
Its great to hear about my blog, i didnt want to put it there cos it could look like advertising. It would be really cool if he checked in on my blog from time to time for some positive energy.

Ps. I’m watching the Rafa match now and he just got broken, he does look very vulnerable indeed. You might be right again about Rafa not mnaking the final. Maybe lose to Verdasco? Its a shame Djokovic is not in his side.

  3. I can’t help but smile watching Nadal’s match. Who would think a qualifier actually bullies Nadal around serve volley and aggressive forehands. Usually its the other way round, can’t wait for Federer to start his match.

Nadal might have dominated the clay season but he doesnt look like the same player to me as before. I think Roger is ready to take him.
How do you like Rogers new clothes? Looks better then the previous outfit to me, didnt like that one as much.

  4. I heard blue is his fave color but I prefer him in red just like the one he wore at USO2008. Shakey start for him, service break and a few shank backhands. Hope he settle in his nerves and play better.

  5. Yeah i liked the red too. Well Rog is back on track but he is finding it hard to approach the net. Ill put my chat box back up again in case any of you feel like chatting during a match.
